Born and raised in Abuja before relocating to Lagos, Bloody Civilian is a storyteller before anything. Using her work to platform African art/history and female empowerment, she released her self-produced debut single How To Kill A Man in Oct 2022. Combining West African influences with a powerful, punchy chorus that is sharply satirical, the track and its gorgeous self-directed video was a breath-taking, fully-formed artistic debut that won praise from BBC 1Xtra, Apple Music, i-D, NME, The Fader, British Vogue, Gal-Dem, Clash, The Face, DORK, Mixtape Madness and more. Meanwhile, in November she released her second ever release Wake Up (ft. Rema) which accumulated over 5M streamsand was written for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.
